From November to December 2021, Adega de Vidigueira Cuba e Alvito (ACVCA) celebrates the “Month of Wine”, an initiative that starts on Saturday, November 6th. This is a set of events that take place over four weekends, and are linked to the traditional Alentejo festival of carved wine.

“We want to continue a very lively tradition in our region, that of associating S. Martinho with the production of talha wine”, declares José Miguel Almeida, president of ACVCA.

Adega Vidigueira Wine MonthAccording to the producer, the Wine Month 2021 begins with the inauguration of the “Taberna dos Arcos” in Vila de Frades, accompanied by a tasting of the new 2021 carved wine. book “Enogastronomia” Luís Gradíssimo, who will make the first public presentation of the work. Also on this day, the Adega organizes a wine dinner that culminates with a showcase by Luís Trigacheiro, winner of “The Voice Portugal” and ambassador of Adega de Vidigueira. This last activity requires advance booking.

On the 11th of November, the Magusto na Adega takes place, a celebration of São Martinho that will take place between 17:00 and 20:00 in the wine tourism space, Casa das Talhas. With animation by the group “Oh Laurinda”.

On the 26th of November, there will be the launch with a tasting of VDG Tannat wine, which will take place at the Adega stores in Vidigueira and Castro Verde, between 15:00 and 19:00.
To end the 2021 Wine Month, on the 11th of December, ACVCA will host the Talha DOC event, an exhibition and tasting of certified Talha Wines.
