Alentejo debuts in the north with more than a hundred wines to taste
Event organized by CVRA estimates the participation of more than 1500 wine lovers and curious people
With an eye on consumers in the North, the event “Wines of Alentejo in Porto” will be held for the first time, where around 150 wines and 23 producers and winemakers from the region will be present. The initiative is scheduled for November 4th and 5th at WOW – World of Wine (Rua do Choupelo 39, 4400-088, Vila Nova de Gaia).
The event “Vinhos do Alentejo no Porto” opens its doors at 5 pm on Friday, November 4th, and until 9.30 pm all wine lovers will be able to taste whites; reds and rosés from more than two dozen Alentejo producers. The next day, Saturday, November 5th, the initiative opens at 3 pm and ends at 9 pm.
Entrance costs 10 euros per person and includes the glass, which will allow access to the tasting of the different wines, grape varieties and aromas of the producers present. The Alentejo Regional Wine Commission (CVRA), responsible for the initiative, intends to make known new crops and references to the north, providing a good moment of socializing and learning to the more than 1500 estimated visitors.
Among the tastings you can find wines from the following producers: Elite Vinhos; Mount of Golden Berries; Large Homestead; Odd Wines; Sovibor; Herdade do Peso; Quinta do Quetzal; Carmine; Painter's Hill; Herdade do Perdigão; Herdade dos Cranes; Borba Winery; Aldeia de Cima estate; Bacalhôa Wines of Portugal; Rocim Wines; Santa Vitória House; Reynolds Wine Growers; Quinta do Paral; Bonanza Hill; Tiago Cabaço Winery; Abegoria; J Costa Vargas / Ovelha Negra Wines; and Herdade dos Lagos.
