From October 31 to November 5, 2019, the 10th Amorgos Tourist Film Festival took place on the Greek island of Amorgos. It is an event integrated in the International Congress of Culture and Tourism YPERIA (
www.yperia.gr), whose 17th edition took place in parallel, and is part of the International Committee of Tourist Film Festivals (CIFFT).
It is directed to a professional circuit and features film screenings - those nominated for awards from 140 competing productions - as well as technical lectures on the specific issue of their production. This year's edition was attended by approximately 100 participants.
As Amorgos is a small island, which is not easily accessible, the fact that the Tourist Film Festival has been held there for so many years is a testament to its well-established reputation.
The Portuguese participation had a particular highlight. Portugal was the country with the largest number of national award-winning films, including the 1st Wine Tourism Prize for the Alentejo Enotourism video (directed by João Pedro Viegas).
