Alentejo Talha Wine is an official event partner in honor of the Queen of England in London
Alentejo Regional Winegrowing Commission welcomes the increase in the notoriety of this unique wine, which already has a tradition of more than 2.000 years.
Alentejo producer of Talha Wine, based in the Vidigueira wine region, was invited by The International Club for Rolls-Royce & Bentley Enthusiasts, a worldwide group of fans of prestigious automobile brands, to be the official partner of the event “Strive for Perfection” , which takes place in London, on the 8th of October, in honor of the Queen of England, Elizabeth II.
According to the producer, Honrado Vineyards, the choice of the company from the Alentejo wine region for this event was motivated by the growing notoriety of Portuguese wine in the international market and by the historic and millenary heritage of Talha Wine. A book of interviews with The International Club for Rolls-Royce & Bentley Enthusiasts partners will be released at the event, in which Talha Wine will also be highlighted. The publication will be distributed to the more than 20 thousand members of the club and will be exhibited in all the stands of Rolls Royce and Bentley around the world, which will contribute to the dissemination of the Talha Wine on a global level.
“It is an honor for our committee to know that one of our producers will be proud and responsible for taking the history of Alentejo Talha wines across borders. Furthermore, this participation gives strength to the candidacy for Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of the Traditional Production of Talha Wine, which we are so eager to conquer”, stresses Francisco Mateus, president of the Alentejo Regional Winegrowing Commission.
The event, which is organized in honor of the Queen of England, and to which the Queen herself was invited, has an exhibition area where the Alentejo producer can promote the brand and have wine tastings. It should be remembered that the way of vinification of Talha Wine arrived in Alentejo by the hands of the Romans, more than 2,000 years ago and remains, to this day, as part of the region's culture and DNA. This unique wine is essentially distinguished by the fact that it ferments in the jar, rather than in vats, which gives it unique characteristics.
