As part of the World Tourism Day (27th September) celebrations, Alentejo Regional Winegrowing Comission decided to offer the daily wine tastings that take place in the tasting room located in the historical center of Évora.
This same wine-tasting room is the seat of the Alentejo Wine Route, which includes about 70 producers that offer a varied offer, ranging from wine tastings to restaurants, hotels, harvesting programs, among others.
The Alentejo Wine Route was created in 1997 and has been one of the main catalysts for wine tourism in the Alentejo region.
According to Teresa Chicau, responsible for the AWR: "This small gesture is an opportunity to thank those who visit the region, but also those who work in the tourism sector and have contributed to the activity in Alentejo".
The tastings include 6 wines of the region and will be available between 11.00 and 18.30.
