“On Saint Martin’s Day, go to the cellar and taste the wine” is the motto of the celebration that will bring together wines, chestnuts and cheeses from the region.
The Alentejo Regional Winegrowing Commission (CVRA) invites all wine lovers to celebrate Saint Martin's Day, November 11, on the
Alentejo Wine Route (R. Cinco de Outubro nº 88, 7000-854 Évora), in an event that will combine wines, roasted chestnuts and cheeses from the region. The initiative takes place this Friday, between 17:00 and 19:00.
In the celebration organized by the Alentejo Wine Route, the proverb “On São Martinho’s Day, go to the cellar and taste the wine” is the motto of the party that will give participants the opportunity to taste eight wine references – which include woodcarving wine and other examples of Alentejo wine – accompanied by freshly roasted chestnuts and cheeses produced in the region.
Registration for the initiative is now open and can be done at the Alentejo Wine Route, through
helena.direitinho@vinhosdoalentejo.pt or by calling 266 746 498. Participation costs 10 euros per person and includes tasting of all wines and side dishes.
