Alentejo Wine Route welcomed a group of students from the OIV
The Alentejo Wine Route welcomeda group of students from the OIV - International Organization of Vine and Wine, coming from different countries like France, China, USA, United Kingdom and Switzerland. These finalists and future professionals of the sector come every year to Portugal, passing through several regions of our country.
The students' reception included a lunch with the typical gastronomy of the region, followed by a wine tasting where 6 producers from the region participated: Herdade da Calada, Mouchão, Adega Mayor, Esporão, Adega de Vidigueira, Cuba and Alvito and Quinta da Plansel.
The OIV - International Organization of Vine and Wine, is an intergovernmental body of scientific and technical character, with recognized competences in the field of vineyards, wine, beverages derived from wine, raisined grapes and other products derived from grapes. In this context, the OIV is responsible for a Masters in Wine Management, based in Bordeaux, which includes in its program visits to various wine regions of the World.
