The Alentejo Regional Winegrowing Commission (CVRA) will once again hold the event "Wines of Alentejo in Lisbon" at the CCB - Centro Cultural de Belém, on the 5th and 6th of April.
Over the years, the event "Vinhos do Alentejo in Lisbon" has become a landmark event in the calendar of national wine events. As a novelty for this 11th edition, the CVRA decided to change the date of the event, which always took place in October.
The Commission intends to stand out from the other national wine events, which end up concentrating at the same time of year, changing to April, thus also taking advantage of a favorable time for the launching of new harvests.
In addition to the wine tastings of the producers, the event will have a parallel program of actions related to wine and Alentejo gastronomy and lots of animation.

As a novelty this year there will be an immediate possibility to order the wines present at the event, through an app for mobile phones and / or an online store. It will also be possible for producers who have on-the-spot billing conditions to sell wine in small quantities.
The electronic record of tasted wines will remain, for those who are interested, after this feature was tested for the first time in last year's edition.
The glass will again have a chip that records the tasted wines and later the information will be sent to the visitors (tasted wines). This electronic registration and information sharing will be used during the two days of the event, except for the commented tastings, harmonizations and storytelling.
As has happened in previous editions, CVR Alentejana intends to allocate a percentage of the revenues from the value of the entries to a social cause: "A glass of Alentejo, a tree" in partnership with Plantar Uma Árvore - Association.
Plantar Uma Árvore is an environmental organization that develops a volunteer program dedicated to the promotion and conservation of native forest and native plant species, organizing initiatives that make it possible for each citizen to plant and care for one tree per year (
