Integrated in the promotion plan of Alentejo wines in the German market and the joint program with the House of the Olive entitled "The Wine and Olive Oil in the Mediterranean Diet," the CVR Alentejana will hold a commented tasting in Munich.
This event has te purpose to create trade opportunities between the economic agents and increase awareness of Alentejo wines and quality olive oils in the German market.
The event will take place at the
Walter & Benjamin Wine Bar, and will consist of a tasting commented by sommelier Justin Leone with 8 wines chosen by him, an olive oil technical tasting lectured by Teresa Zacarias from
Casa do Azeite and even a free tasting of Alentejo wines and quality olive oils present in that market .
Justin Leone is head Sommelier at
Tantris Restaurant in Munich, Germany. He is native of Canada, and spent most of his career as a sommelier in Chicago, passing through London and Burgundy. He is a great admirer of Portuguese wines, having been already in the Alentejo region and becoming a great admirer. Already collaborator of CVR Alentejana in Prowein 2015 and 2016, Justin presented the wines of the region in an exciting way.
Program:
Justin Leone: The head sommelier of Munich’s restaurant Tantris will present the wines.
Heiko Schmidt: Germany’s leading olive oil expert shows extra virgin olive oils.
Annette Sandner: The food stylist and blogger from Munich will talk about Alentejo cuisine.
The team of
Walter & Benjamin will serve «petiscos» (little Portuguese snacks).
