The ceremony organized by
Revista de Vinhos was held yesterday at the “Centro de Congressos e Exposições da Alfândega do Porto”, and prized the best of the year in the wine scene.
The
CVRA - Alentejo Regional WineGrowing Commission was awarded the Best Wine Organization of the Year in Portugal and received rave reviews from this group of experts:
"Nature has done its best and the effort of technicians and investors in recent decades has elevated Alentejo to the top of wine production in Portugal, but for this success a dynamic CVRA and always open for innovation has also played a major role."
Francisco Mateus, presidente of the CVRA board said he was "proud to see the work done by the Commission rewarded, knowing that recognition gives us even more motivation to continue."
Every year, the editorial team of the magazine joins and decides who were the best of the year then ended. According to the Revista de Vinhos :
"’Blame’ the national wine sector, which keeps on giving us every year with excellent examples of overcoming in each of the categories.This year there are 20, with the return of the best Somelier prize. At the gala celebrated tonight, we revealed who were the brightest stars in the Portuguese wine universe."
