The town of Redondo, in the district of Évora, will host, on the 25th of November, the I Congress of History and Wine Heritage of Alentejo, promoted by the company “História e Memória”, but which has the support of the Municipality of Redondo, CVRA, Ateva, Confraria dos Enófilos do Alentejo, among many other business and institutional partners.

According to José Calado, from the company “História e Memória”, “the purpose of this meeting, where almost two dozen researchers in this area will participate as speakers, not only historians, but others, who in their activities and areas of knowledge, use History or historical notes to promote wine products, is to help value the Alentejo Vitivinícola today, through the past.”

“It will also be demonstrated how History and historical-patrimonial knowledge can, and should, help in the promotion, dissemination and growth of Alentejo Vitivinícola as a whole, but also at a business or cooperative level, through the creation of certified brands. , wine products and production of differentiated content for wine tourism and permanent or temporary exhibitions”, he added.

This event is aimed mainly at producers, winemakers, marketing and communication teams and others who are active in the sector, although it is open to all who wish to participate.
