Ten restaurants in Lisbon will offer ten snacks and ten Alentejo wines for only 3.50 euros. It is the
Route of Petiscos and Wines of Alentejo that begins on 15th and ends on 29th October.
The initiative is the Alentejo Regional Winegrowing Commission (CVRA) and was presented yesterday in Lisbon. "We want to reach a younger audience that does not know Alentejo wines so well," says Tiago Caravana, from the marketing department of CVRA, adding that the adhesion by the restaurants was immediate and that each one of them chose the wines.
The restaurants that are part of this route of Alentejo flavors are: By the Wine, TOPO (Martim Moniz, Baixa-Chiado e Belém), Carnealentajana, Lost In, Companhia do Largo, Livraria-Bar Menina e Moça, Matateu Petisqueira, Rio Maravilha, Santos-O-Vinho e Sr.Lisboa. Check here the selected tidbits, wines and schedules:
In the past 8 years, the CVRA has organized the event "
Wines of Alentejo in Lisbon" - which will take place next weekend at the Centro Cultural de Belém - and, from monday, Alentejo will remain in the capital with this route.
Joining the invitation to jump from restaurant to restaurant, the CVRA added a challenge that will be available on the Facebook page of the Wines of Alentejo, in which participants can win a basket with products from the region and a weekend in Alentejo.
