Sarah Ahmed, one of the UK's most respected wine journalists and a specialist in Portuguese wines, visited Alentejo once again.

This time the focus of the visit was the sub-region of Portalegre, where the journalist spent several days in order to deepen her knowledge not only about the wines, but also about the region itself and the people who work it.

At the end of the week, there was still time for a tasting in the Alentejo Wine Route Tasting Room, in which a large number of producers from the Portalegre sub-region were represented.
