On May 15 will be held another edition «Tabernas do Alentejo - Art and Science». Informal conversations that will welcome  the presence of special guests and a main theme, with the collaboration of the CVRA - Alentejana Regional Winegrowing Commission.

The wine gathering will be held at Adega do Piteira at 7.00 pm and the theme will be [The Red Wine Maladies], from "The Tobacco Maladies" by Anton Chekhov, an original presented by Josá Mora Ramos. The wines in tasting at the meeting will be from the Encostas de ALqueva, presented by Manuel Bio and José Piteira.

The meeting will be followed by a wine dinner at 8.30pm at the same place. The price is € 25 per person and registration is mandatory via email: ana.bio@encostasdealqueva.pt

 
The organization of the event provides transportation:

- Bus in Évora, by 17.30 (return after dinner, subscriptions by sms: 939 255 131)
Departure and arrival: Rossio and S. Brás, next to the statue of the Combatentes.

 
The proposal of Carlos Cupeto, professor of the Department of Geosciences of the School of Sciences and Technology of the University of Évora, «Tabernas do Alentejo - art and science», whose motto is "Wine is the only work of art that one can drink" , was one of the winners of the Participatory Budget Portugal (OPP). The project runs through the Alentejo with the holding of monthly meetings.
