Vine and Wine Festival 2018

The Festival of Vine and Wine is back to the Alentejo village of Borba. The event, which runs from 10 to 18 November, includes several thematic fairs, gastronomy, colloquiums, music shows, and the possibility of tasting more than 150 wine brands.

There will be eight days of animation, with special emphasis on musical shows. There will be shows by the Irmãos Verdade (10th), Canta Brasil (17th), Emanuel (18th), among many others.

Borba grew with the wine and this gave the nickname for the highest moment of celebration in the county. For 25 years we have been celebrating the Vine and Wine Festival in Borba, bringing hundreds of visitors to our city during the nine days of the event.

Wine and Viticulture are promoted in the most diverse mysteries and knowledge, from the beginning:

- Associated with the typical Alentejo and Borbense gastronomy, in the restaurants present at the Festa, in the snacks and Circuit of the Tascas and in the associated gastronomic contests and very participated, both in the precinct of the event and in most of the restaurants of Borba;

- Allied to certified regional products of excellence: cheeses, sausages, olive oil or bread, among others, in organized and informal events that take place every day at the Festa .;

- The Wine of Talha, fruit of ancestral knowledge, with more than two thousand years of history, made still in our land, in several of the private and old wineries. On the first day of the Feast we invite everyone to sample "Vinho de Talha", made in the old Winery of the Municipality.

In November, Borba is the capital of Alentejo Wines! During the 9 days of the festival, a lot of entertainment is guaranteed (from musical performances on stage to street entertainment and sports events), tasquinhas and excellent gastronomy, certified regional products (olive oil, cheeses, sausages, among others), handicrafts and wines.

The Festa is organized by the Municipality of Borba, together with the Alentejo Regional Tourism Entity, the CVRA - Alentejo Regional Winegrowing Commission and ATEVA - Alentejo Wine Producers Association.
