For the first time in history, the
FIFA World Football Museum in Zurich hosted a wine tasting. And it was Alentejo to make that debut, with an event that received hundreds of guests, among them the president of the organization, Gianni Infantino.

Gianni Infantino tasted the wines of the 12 producers represented: Adega Mayor, Anta de Cima – Argila Wines, Adega Cooperativa da Vidigueira, Encostas de Alqueva, Enoforum - Carmim Group, Herdade do Esporão, Herdade da Mingorra, Herdade dos Grous, Lusovini, Monte do Álamo, Reynolds Wine Growers e Susana Esteban.
Thomas Vaterlaus, journalist and wine critic, conducted a masterclass that covered "Two Centuries and Five Decades of Wines of the Alentejo", which included historical and striking labels from the Portuguese region.
"Presenting the wines of one of the most recognized wine regions of Portugal and the world in a city as cosmopolitan as Zurich attracted a diverse professional and consumer audience from 5 continents," said Francisco Mateus, President of CVRA, adding that "The World Football Museum, shows that the Alentejo and it's producers have a permanent capacity to surprise, attract and attract new professionals and consumers. Considered a great success by the organization, the Alentejo wine tasting at the
FIFA World Football Museum, held on Wednesday, was attended by more than 300 guests, was promoted by CVRA - Alentejo Regional Wine Commission, with the production of EV-Essência do Vinho .
Since 2016, Switzerland is the fourth largest export market of Alentejo wines.
