“Feed those who feed you” is the slogan used in this initiative by the Instituto da Vinha e do Vinho and the Ministry of Agriculture.

CVRA - Alentejo Regional Winegrowing Commission accepted the challenge of the portuguese Vine and WIne Institute and the Ministry of Agriculture to appeal to the consumption of national products, as a way to support Portuguese farmers and producers. The challenge launched consists of recording a video using a mobile phone with a duration of 1 or 2 minutes, calling for responsible consumption and quality of national products.

For CVRA, it is important to join these types of initiatives, as well as to challenge its partners and citizens in general to join this call and disseminate it on the various channels. In addition to spreading this important message, CVRA wants the Portuguese to be made aware of the consumption of national products, not only the wines that are available through online sale, but also other safe and quality products produced in Portugal.

For Francisco Mateus, president of CVRA, “we recognize the effort that all farmers and producers are making at a time like this, so that we can all consume quality and safe products for our health. We want more institutions, companies, associations and individuals to join not only this initiative, “Feed those who feed”, but also set an example when choosing all kinds of products that are produced in our country and recognized quality. It is a choice that certainly makes a difference for those who continue to keep our economy active ”.

CVRA thus challenges not only producers in the Alentejo region, but also the entire sector, to reinforce the communication of the “Feed those who feed it” campaign and show that it is an example that should be followed by everyone.
