Event that is already an icon of the sector will count on 56 producers from the region.
The Wines of Alentejo are back in the capital to toast the 13th edition of one of the most important events in the wine sector in Portugal. The “Wines of Alentejo in Lisbon” initiative is scheduled for the 2nd and 3rd of June at the CCB – Centro Cultural de Belém (Praça do Império, 1449-003 Lisboa).
From whites, reds and rosés to sparkling wines and liqueur wines, starting at 4 pm on Friday, June 2, wine and vine lovers will have the opportunity to taste more than 450 of the best wines produced by the 56 producers in the Alentejo region. On Saturday, June 3rd, the CCB opens its doors at 3:00 pm, closing at 9:00 pm on both days of the event. The showcase for the dissemination of Alentejo nectars honors the region's commitment to sustainability, by reusing all the materials and stalls present at the events held in 2022, in Lisbon and Porto.
In this way, the Wines of Alentejo intend to minimize the usual environmental impact of this type of event and contribute to an even more sustainable future. Promoted by the Alentejo Regional Winegrowing Commission (CVRA), on Friday, June 2nd, the event also features seminars and lectures related to the grape varieties and particularities of the region's wines and Talha Wine, in the words of speaker Luís Pedro Amorim, director of the CVRA Chamber of Tasters.
On Saturday, June 3, there will be several Alentejo producers with sustainable production certification, as well as Joana Faria, executive director of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Portugal, in sessions dedicated to sustainability and good practices that can be implemented in the vineyards. to the cellars, for the future of nature. Finally, Vicente Themudo de Castro, consultant, journalist and responsible for the Albatroz Group's wine area, in a food pairing session, will reveal the perfect pairings for the wines.
Tickets can now be purchased through ticketline.pt, for 10 euros, and will also be available for purchase at the CCB entrance, at 12 euros per person. These values include a reusable glass and tasting of all wines present.
