More than seventy  Wines of Alentejo were awarded gold and silver medals at the Summer Tasting for the 24th "Grand International Wine Award Mundus Vini", one of the most important wine competitions in Germany and the world.

The competition came to an end last Sunday. 260 international wine experts from 5 countries spent six days scoring almost 7,200 wines from 156 wine producing regions around the world.

Portugal is among the most awarded countries, more precisely in the 4th position, with 279 medals. It was only surpassed by Italy (676 medals), Spain (619 medals) and France (341 medals).
