Wines of Alentejo Sustainability Program at the next Climate Talk by The Porto Protocol
The Wines of Alentejo Sustainability Program is invited to the next Climate Talk by Porto Protocol, which will take place on the 15th of July and will reflect on the different perspectives of certification and sustainability standards in the wine industry.
This theme arises from the multiple certifications in sustainability that have been growing over the last few decades.
In these conversations, the concept of sustainability in the world of wine will be discussed, whether consumers are aware of this meaning and how to apply standards, the adequacy of certifications to the different dimensions of companies in the sector, the certification criteria and the respective communication.
Climate Talk will include the participation of Patricio Parra, the executive director of the R&D Consortium in Vinos de Chile, which is the institution responsible for managing the Chilean Wine Industry Sustainability Code and Allison Jordan, vice president for the environmental affairs of the Wine Institute and executive director of the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance.
