HOW DID IT ARISE?
The Route of Snacks and Wines of Alentejo arises with the main objective of honoring the Alentejo, bringing to Lisbon those that are the true and genuine Wines of Alentejo.
We put the Alentejo in Lisbon and bring it closer to new audiences, especially among younger consumers. The Route turned as a trip for the more traditional flavors of the Alentejo but without leaving Lisbon. They met with friends, made programs after work and shared the happiness of a moment between friends and family accompanied by the flavors of the Alentejo.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE 1ST EDITION?
We started by challenging 10 restaurants to recreate a snack and paring with an Alentejo wine. Each restaurant developed a snack and chose the producer and wine with which it wanted to participate in the Route.
And so was born the Route of Snacks and Wines of Alentejo!
The Route brought moments of conviviality, which became stories to tell. On a journey that lasted two weeks, it was possible to travel through Belém, Chiado, Martim Moniz, Santos, Cais do Sodré, Príncipe Real, Avenida da Liberdade, Campo Pequeno and even the Lx Factory. The Route of Snacks and Wines of Alentejo was a perfect match between the culture of the city of Lisbon, the tradition and essence of the Wines of Alentejo and the Portuguese flavors of the snacks that came together.
In addition to all the Portuguese who came with us on this Alentejo trip in Lisbon many foreigners had the opportunity to feel the Alentejo on a visit to Lisbon.
2nd EDITION ROUTE OF SNACKS AND WINES OF ALENTEJO
On a trip through the WORLD'S FLAVORS!
A year later, we again invited the partners who decided to join us on this trip in 2017. But we also wanted to give a new flavor to the trip from Alentejo to Lisbon. And, nothing better than to season it with some flavors of the world.
In the 2018 edition, besides counting on the Portuguese flavors, we also have the junction of what is the essence of the Wines of Alentejo to some flavors of the world.
In 2018 the glass of Alentejo Wine goes wherever you want to take it. At the end of the day do you fancy a trip to India? Brazil? Vietnam? Mozambique? Italy? This is the experience that Route gives you in this edition. A journey through the world's flavors, in Lisbon, accompanied by the traditional glass of Alentejo Wine.
