Herdade do Penedo Gordo
Herdade do Penedo Gordo is located in Orada, municipality of Borba. Here, this estate enjoys a sublime mesoclimate for the production of Alentejo wine. The hot climate with wide diurnal range that is attenuated by the schistose soil confers upon the vines an unrivalled ability to produce exceptional grapes.
The vineyard comprises 70 hectares and includes red varieties Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Trincadeira and Syrah as well as the whites Roupeiro and Antão Vaz.
The winery lies at the heart of the vineyard in order to guarantee that the grapes arrive to the winery as fresh as possible.
In addition to the vineyards, the estate also has a large olive grove with Cobrançosa and Galega varieties.
