CARMIM – Cooperativa Agrícola de Reguengos de Monsaraz was created in 1971 by a group of 60 grape growers. More than forty years later, the quality of CARMIM wines has become a byword for excellence. Carmim leads the domestic quality wine market.

CARMIM co-operative has today around 900 members and produces 24 wines labels ranging from white to reds, from young to oak aged wines, including fortified wines, rosés and sparkling wines. Carmim also produces brandies and quality olive oils.

CARMIM has won more than 250 national and international wine awards.

The quality of the grapes, coming from a region granted PDO status, is one of the cooperative’s assets. Add into the mix quality human capital and an agro-industrial complex comprising 80,000 m2 equipped with the highest possible technology.

The capacity to receive 1,200 tonnes of grapes per day, to bottle 15,000 bottles an hour and to storage up to 32 million litres all combine to make CARMIM the largest winery in the Alentejo and one of the biggest in the country!

We hope that you will be able to visit us and see for yourself the size of our company and our commitment to quality. Get to know every stage of the winemaking process and try our wines!

Come and taste the most noble of drinks, at one of its most noble houses!
