History
The story of Cortes de Cima is an epic that begins on a sailboat crossing treacherous waters, passes through melon and tomato fields, and ends with wine.
It is a story of a Danish and American couple who came to Portugal in search of a place to plant their vineyard and raise a family, armed with a pioneering spirit and no time for convention or prejudice. They planted red grapes in a region of whites and vineyards in coastal pastures.
With the new generation leading, Cortes de Cima is now a reference in Portuguese wine, with wines that speak of innovation, passion, and origin. The farm is a living organism with equilibrium and biodiversity: the vineyards, olive groves, oak groves, and forests harmonize with the animals and wildlife. They follow organic, biodynamic, and regenerative viticulture, creating wines that speaks of terroir.
