Herdade da Maroteira is an estate belonging to an Anglo-Portuguese family that has been active in the Alentejo for more than five generations. It comprises 540 hectares in the foothills of the Serra D´Ossa, originally dedicated to cork and holm oak forests. It now includes a vineyard, source of the grapes for the well-known Cem Reis wine and the more recent 10 Gulden, plus three lodging facilities.
Tucked away in the Serra D´Ossa, 20 km from Estremoz and 35 km from Évora, the estate has three totally equipped lodging facilities prepared to offer a perfect week’s holiday for families or for a romantic getaway weekend.
