The Herdade do Selão is managed by Sociedade Agrícola do Selão lda.
The estate has 11 hectares of vineyards of which 10 are red grapes and 1 of white grape and it is located in Mombeja - Alentejo region.
We are a small but passionate team that aims the production of small quantity but high quality wine production . All our red wines all Reserve wines.
It was in late 2014 with the harvest of 2013 that we’ve started our production which resulted in 4,700 bottles of an excellent Vinho Regional Alentejano, our Selão Reserve 2013.
In April 2016 we bottled our Selão Reserve 2014, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Alicante Bouschet,
Aragones and Syrah - 11,000 bottles ( 750 ml) and 488 magnums (1.5 liters) and an amazing 100% Cabernet
Sauvignon Reserve 2014 with a Limited and numbered Edition of only 1,500 bottles (750 ml.) and 288 units
a very elegant doble Magnum (3 liters) only available for special customers.
In February 2016 we bottled our first white wine ... a fantastic and irresistible Selão 100% Sauvignon Blanc harvest of 2015 with a unique amount of 2,500 bottles.
Last September we have finished our 2016 harvest and according to our winemaker Eng. Filipe Pinto Sevinate it is another great year for our wine!
