The Estate
Herdade dos Coelheiros is a family property, adhering to the Alentejo Wine Route, which has been producing since
1991, some of the most emblematic wines of the Alentejo region.
Coelheiros draws the classic picture of the Alentejo landscape, preserving the traditional cultures of the region and the balance of the ecosystem. Inserted in the demarcated region of Alentejo, the estate extends over about 800ha, including 50ha of vineyards in selected plots, 40ha of walnut orchard and a vast area of meadows where sheep, deer and fallow deer graze freely.

Tapada de Coelheiros Philosophy
Tapada de Coelheiros, spanning 800 hectares with 53 hectares dedicated to vineyards, is a unique biodiverse terroir in the Alentejo region. Proudly employing biodynamic, organic, and holistic practices, the estate is committed to regenerative methods in wine, nut, and olive oil farming.
With a focus on truthfulness, authenticity, and transparency, we cultivate the land sustainably and at nature's pace. Their granitic soils, diverse crops, and network of streams maintain ideal conditions for cultivation. Nine vineyards with 38 plots prioritize indigenous grape varieties, emphasizing acidity and balance. In the winery, manual labor and respect for time are paramount, resulting in wines of extraordinary quality, reflecting their dedication and patience.
