Seventy-three of the 700 hectares of the Herdade dos Grous are dedicated to grape growing. The rest is divided amongst olive groves, vegetable crops, livestock and horse breeding. The Grous reservoir stands at the centre of the estate and covers 98 hectares.
The goal of the estate is to apply the latest technology and the best of traditional practices in order to provide products and services of extremely high quality.
Herdade dos Grous is located in the Lower Alentejo, in Albernôa, in the county of Beja. Tourists come every year to enjoy the magnificence, the tranquillity and rare beauty of this estate and its lake covering 98 hectares.
The mission of the Herdade dos Grous estate is to produce excellent wines with the most modern possible grape growing and winemaking techniques, thereby contributing to the remarkable wine growing heritage of the Alentejo. We apply carefully chosen techniques to each variety and each parcel of vines in order to ensure the utmost quality of the grapes.
