The Sociedade Vitivinícola Courela dos Aleixos was set up in 2000 and began by producing white wine. The following year production was expanded to 25,000 bottles, with a focus on PGI and mid-range to high-end wines.
The vineyard comprises 7 hectares. The new winery includes larger and more efficient areas and is equipped with up-to-date technology, yielding a total production of 75,000 bottles of high quality wine.
