At Herdade Fonte Paredes, a family in love with the wines of the Alentejo brought hard work and perseverance to bear and then joined them with technology in order to bring a forgotten estate in Avis in the Upper Alentejo back to life.

This property of 400 hectares includes 100 of vineyards, planted in vines of differing ages and that grow on an unusually steep slope for the Alentejo, which known for its open rolling plains. The clay and limestone composition of the soils, in conjunction with the privileged aspect of the vineyard and the careful selection of grape varieties, yield an exceptional terroir.

A unique mix of traditional and modern technologies provides our winemakers with rare tools for crafting distinct wines for a wide range of consumers and markets, nationally and internationally.
