The Torre de Palma estate is located in the heart of the Alto Alentejo wine region in Monforte. It benefits from the climate of the Serra de São Mamede site and a natural method resulting in the perfect combination to produce unique wines, in harmony with nature.
The Vineyards
The various plots of vines are planted on balanced soils, giving privilege to natural methods. Varieties of several Portuguese varieties, such as Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Miúda (for reds) or Antão Vaz, Arinto and Alvarinho (for whites) are carefully combined. This is a sustainable project with precision farming practices.
The winery
The boutique cellar is an ex-libris and the symbol of the wine culture in Torre de Palma. The objective was to build a traditional winery, with small marble presses from the region, producing the wine by hand. In this space there is also a barrel room, a wine tasting room and a wine production area with cement deposits.
Wine Experiences
In addition to wine, this project features a 5-star charming hotel, a member of Design Hotels. The Torre de Palma winery is open for visits and tastings, as well as wine and gastronomic events. In addition, the winery promotes some events: Clube do Vinho and WineMarket which aims to promote the best wines from Alto Alentejo.
