3- Before, During and After. It corresponds to the timeless character of Talha Wine with more than 9000 years of History!

A peculiar wine, which best represents the 3rd phase of Talha Wine - THE LONG AGE!

3 Stages: Fermentation in Talha, aging for 5 months in another Talha and a long aging in bottle.

3- Past, Present and Future, the continuity of this art in the Frade Family.

It’s a wine we don’t get every year. Due to the characteristics of the grape in 2017, we obtained a must with a special structure, requiring extra care to complete fermentation. It’s a fresh, balanced wine with a high phenolic composition.

Coming from a traditional terroir on the border between Vidigueira and Selmes, with the typical grape varieties of the region - Trincadeira (33%) and Aragonez (67%).

Soil

Schist.

Harvesting Method

Manual.

Fermentation / Ageing Process

The blend was made directly after harvest and fermentation is spontaneous. The wine fermented in Talha and remained until the end of December and beginning of January. It was cleaned, filtered naturally through the masses and placed in another Talha where it aged for 5 months. After bottling, the wine aged in the bottle for 4 years. No chemicals were added throughout the process, except a small amount of sulfur at the end (on average ¼ of that allowed for organic wines).

Service and Drinking Temperature

Serve at a temperature between 16ºC e 18ºC. You can serve directly, but we recommend letting the wine breathe for around 1h before serving.
