Designation: Alentejo Region IGP
Origin: Herdade da Ajuda, Hight Alentejo
Grape Varieties: Ajuda red wine is composed by Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Aragonez and Alicante Bouschet.
The grapes had been harvested during the night by mechanic process, in order to ensure aromas and phenolic compounds, holding a particular freshness. The harvest took place at night during the 3rd week of September.
Fermentation at 23 º C of temperature for 6 days after destemmed grapes.
Ajuda aged 6 months in stainless and 2 months in bottle.
Colour: Ruby color.
Aroma: Red fruity berries with some notes of mint.
Palate: Good structure and well balanced in the mouth ripe tannins. Good acidity and persistence final.
Consumption Suggestion: Ajuda it is suggested as an accompaniment of day to day meals, as well as light fish and meat dishes.
