ALCUNHA Red 2020
Alcunha means nickname. The nickname is a special individual characterization of a person, place or thing given because of a very own particular characteristic. A grape, a place, a wine.
TERROIR
Vineyards planted in schistose and silt-loam soil near the city of Estremoz. The climate is continental Mediterranean with a thermal amplitude that ranges between warm days and cold nights during the grapes’ maturation period.
TASTING NOTES
Color: strong rubi
Nose: Strong red berries, light balsamic and well-integrated toast.
Mouth: good structure, tasty with bright tannins and pleasant freshness.
VINIFICATION
Hand harvested by the end of September, aged 10 months stage in Portuguese new oak barrels.
FOOD PAIRING
It’s a very versatile wine that shines next to dishes like Iberian pork or beef tartare.

Red fruit is highlighted alongside some floral notes in a very pleasant way. Involving in the mouth, medium body, a lot of silky tannins, enriched with fruit in a long finish, elegant and fresh.
