Designation: DOC Alentejo
Grape variety: Alicante Bouschet
Vinification: The grapes coming from the manual harvest of our associates are discharged and immediately destemed and crushed. After 48 hours of maceration at low temperature, the fermentation begins controlled temperature (23-26ºC) and lasts for 15 days using pumping mixed with a few delestages.
Ageing: Aged in second use french oak barrels for 9 months. After bottling the wine rests in bottle from 3 to 6 months.
Colour: Dark garnet coloured wine.
Aroma: Aroma of black fruits with notes deriving from its aging in wood.
Palate: In the mouth it is full-bodied, smooth and balanced with an aftertaste where notes of coffee and chocolate predominate.
Consumption: Consume immediately or during the next 5 to 7 years. It should be consumed at a temperature of 16ºC – 18ºC.
Gastronomy: It accompanies well red meat dishes, game, pates Alentejo pork dishes and cured cheese.
