Caladessa Escolha DOC Red

 

Designation: DOC Alentejo “Escolha”
Soil: Sandy red clay with quartz.
Vinification: Handpicked grapes. 10 Days maceration. Temperature controlled fermentation.
Ageing: At least 18 months ageing in French oak.
Grape varieties: 60% Alfrocheiro, 20% Touriga Nacional, 10% Tinta Caiada and 30% Trincadeira.



Tasting notes

Colour: Dark reed. 
Aroma: Fruit cocktail of red berries, prunes and raisins.
Taste: Ripe, sweet tannins with spice notes.
