This limited bi-varietal of .com has already become one of our classics, in a blend that remains limited to just over a six thousand bottles. we sought to combine the floral, fruity exuberance of our main variety (Touriga Nacional), with the vigour and complexity of one of the best international varieties: Syrah, the french variety that most readily adapted to the region. The best of both worlds, in a blend that is show to be even more full-bodied and powerful than the classical .com version.
Colour: A solid purple red colour.
Aroma/Palate: Passionate and seductive, this robust wine derives its vehemence from fruit that is ripe, spiced, full-bodied. It starles us for the reinvigorating freshness of the aftertaste, and the smooth but powerful tannins that enliven the exciting conclusion.
2010 also included an arduous harvest, one that is capable of testing the patience and know-how of any enologist. Following a cool, gentle early summer, temperatures kept rising, resulting in a very quick maturations for a few varieties... and significant delays in other varieties. Out of sheer luck, these were two of the grape varieties with the best perfomance and so once again we managed to present this exceptional blend of two of our best varieties by combining the best Portuguese variety with the french variety that most readily adapted to the Alentejo.
