Harvest 2013: A dry winter, followed by a cold and wet spring. A moderate summer, which heated up in August. A delayed growing season, with late flowering, ripening and a large harvest. High Acids, ripe tannins.
Vinification: Well ripened fruit. Fermented without stems under controlled temperature, with frequent pisage and delestage. Aged for 12 months in French (70%), American (30%) oak barrels, and then blended to give balanced varietal fruit and oak complexity. Bottled, unfined and filtered.
Spicy aromatics, with a firm palate of intense fruit and a long, persistent finish.
