Fonte dos Garfos Red

Climate: Considerable thermal amplitude between stations. Microclimatic characteristics under the influence of the Tejo river.
Location: Gavião – Alto Alentejo.
Soil: Poor soils of granitic origin.
Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Syrah and Trincadeira.
Viticulture and enology: Vineyard subject to green pruning and weeding of curls, giving an average yield of 7000 kg / ha, thus projecting a high aromatic concentration. Hand grape harvest into boxes of small capacity (12 kg). Full and long maceration stalking with temperature control.
Alcohol and acidity: 13% Alcohol at Bottling. Total Acid at Bottling 5,3. Ph 3,54.
Stage: 4 months in French oak barrels.
Production: 12.000 bottles.
Go to Market period: December of the following year the production.
Storage temperature: 16°C.
Service: Serve at 16ºC to drink at 18ºC.
Pairing suggestion: Wine will pair well with various dishes.



Tasting notes

Colour: Concentrated ruby color.
Aroma: Clean minerality and intense scent with hints of red fruits.
Palate: In the mouth presents structured with good balance, long and persistent finish.
