Vineyard
At 800m distance, the dam of Montargil is a great influence in the microclimate of the vineyards, increasing humidity and lowering the temperatures. The soil with pebbles contribute to the quality of the grapes.
Style
Bottled only in exceptional years, this super limited edition intends to show the best of Alicante Bouschet and the best of Monte da Raposinha.
Winemaking
The grapes were hand-harvested, gently destemmed and crushed after being carefully sorted at the winery. Fermentation took place in small open-top tanks (lagares), with controlled temperature. The cap of skins were punched down dailly to maximize the varietal character and complexity. After malolactic, the wine was transferred to new french oak barrels (100%) for 23months. After bottling the wine agesin the cellar for another18months.

Powerful wine, deep aroma with black fruits, cocoa, tobacco leaves, smoky aromas and luxurious oak. Intensity, concentration and sophistication define this wine. A great wine to share in a special moment!
