Grape Varieties: The Farm Aid Premium 2009 was 100% made from Alicante Bouschet caste.
Harvest
The grapes to Premium were collected through a careful selection, taking into account qualitative parameters such as weather, aromas and phenolic compounds (tannins and color), holding unique and characteristics.
The harvest took place during the night and in the 3rd week of September.
Fermentation took place in rotating at a temperature of 24 º C for 7 days after destemmed grapes.
Premium aged in French oak Allier (60%) and American (40%) barrels for 9 months. Launched for sale after 18 months of aging in bottle.
Tasting notes
This wine is well integrated with the barrel. Full and bulk, good texture, silky and acidity well integrated.
Herdade da Ajuda Premium is recommended for special occasions of consumption, as well as to elaborate dishes of meat, game, poultry and soft cheeses.
Should be consumed at a temperature of 16ºC.
