Origin: Herdade da Ajuda, Hight Alentejo
Grape Varieties: Herdade da Ajuda Reserve 2009 is composed of 40% Syrah, 40% Touriga Nacional and 20% Alicante Bouschet.
Harvest and vinification: The grapes had been harvested from a rigorous quality control, taking into account qualitative parameters such as weather, aromas and phenolic compounds (tannins and color), holding a wine with particular features. The harvest took place at night during the 3rd week of September. Fermentation took place in rotating at a temperature of 24 º C for 7 days after destemmed grapes. Aged in French and American oak barrels for 1 year and 3 months in bottle.
Colour: It has a grenade color.
Aroma/Palate: Great fruit, predominance of wild black fruit ripe, black currant, and velvety tannins. A wine for immediate consumption or in the next 5 years.
Consumption Suggestion: It is suggested as an accompaniment to dishes with more elaborate confection, also including cheeses, lamb. This wine should be consumed at a temperature of 16 º C.
