Herdade Grande Colheita Seleccionada White

Wine Type: White

Origin: Portugal

Producer: António Manuel Baião Lança

Vintage: 2011

Grape Varieties: Antão Vaz, Arinto, Roupeiro

Winemaking: The grapes were hand-picked during August and September early in the morning to ensure optimum quality. Immediately went to the winery where they were hand selected for the last time, and then crushed and gently pressed with a short press maceration. The resulting first press undergoes cold static decantation. The must then ferments slowly in stainless steel tanks in temperatures between 14ºC to 18ºC.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Brilliantly clear with a beautiful golden-straw color.
Aroma: This wine invites you in with tempting aromas of apple, tropical passion fruit and citrus, along with light oak complexity.
Palate: The palate opens round and fleshy with flavors of juicy peach and mouthwatering, big, citrus notes of pink grapefruit and honey tangerine. Big structure and great weight throughout complement the numerous layers of flavors to complete the package on this classic, Herdade Grande.

Serving Suggestion: Advised in order to accompany specialty made up of shells of the Mediterranean kitchen, appetisers of sea, grilled fish, or salads. To be enjoyed on its own or with finger food.
An excellent aperitif wine.
