Grape Varieties: Alicante Bouschet (60%) - Trincadeira (20%) - Touriga Nacional (20%)
Vinification: The grapes are picked by hand and they are destemmed and crushed as soon as they have been unloaded. Selected yeasts are added and fermentation takes place at 26ºC, with daily delestage.
Aging: Maceration is completed after 20 days. The wine ages in French and American oak barrels for 9 months.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: The carefully selected grapes give the wine its nicely matured blackberry and raspberry aromas, intermingled with hints of spice.
Mouth: The taste is rich and deep, with minerality and a highly aromatic complexity.
Consumption: It is ready for drinking now, or it can be kept for 5 to 8 years in the bottle, if stored in the right conditions. Recommended tasting temperature: 16º to 18 ºC
Gastronomy: It goes well with game, red meat and matured or medium-matured cheese.
