Concept
Embracing the unique terroir of Bica, we’ve crafted a wine that reflects the richness our vineyards command. Sand and clay combine to create a whole which, infused with soul and purity, gives birth to this Alentejo that is as much Western as it is captivating.
“Joy in departure, as longing is for those who remain.”
In the Vineyard
Situated in Lavre and established 7 years ago (Alicante Bouschet, Aragonês) and 12 years old (Syrah), this vineyard benefits from a Mediterranean climate with a high temperature range and transitional soils from clay to sand.
Despite the low productivity, these conditions are ideal for achieving great aromatic expression and freshness retention during ripening.
Grapes from these plots are hand-harvested and transported to the winery in small 12 kg crates.
Productivity: 5000kg/Ha.

Winemaker's Note
Elegant maturation without over-extraction, always with a balsamic background that elevate this medium-bodied blend to a very elegant level, and quite unusual for the region. Confit black fruit is present throughout the tasting, wrapped in notes of good barrels that comfort all the freshness.
