Vinification: Cartuxa White is a blend of Antão Vaz and Arinto, planted in the Eugénio de Almeida foundation. When the grapes are judged to be perfectly matured, they are carefuly picked and brought to the winery for de-stalking gentle crushing Fermentation is in stainless steel vats and french oak barrels at a controlled temperature of 16ºC and the wine matures on the lees for further 12 months, with battonage, followed by 6 more months of ageing in the bottle, prior to release.
