Vineyard
Planted in clay and limestone soils, on a gentle slope facing south, the vine rows are oriented north-south. The vineyard is managed under an accurate sustainable agriculture farming system.
Harvest
The grapes were handpicked to small boxes at early morning hours.
Vinification
Cold maceration for 48 hours and alcoholic fermentation under controlled temperature followed by malolactic fermentation partially in new oak barrels.
Ageing
12 months in French oak barrels, 20% new. And a further period of 8 months in bottle.
Drinking period
Considering its intense aroma, concentration, freshness and youth it is ready for early drinking. However its evolving potential allows it to be appreciated after a bottle aging period, through which it can develop its complexity and fine bouquet.
Tasting Notes
Opaque red and slight purple color, with a floral and ripe red berry fruit complex aroma, spices and oak toasty notes. It has a good volume and concentration in the mouth with firm and soft tannins. It finishes long and fresh with a strong presence of fruit.
