Tiago Cabaço Encruzado White

For this 2st edition of a white wine varietal with Tiago Cabaço’s signature, we chose Encruzado, a typical grape variety from Dão, but very well suited to the characteristics of the Alentejo and specifically to the terroir of Estremoz. We present an elegant and delicate white wine with good aging potential.

Tasting Notes

Citrus colour, fresh and mineral, structured and complex, with pleasant notes of oak that do not overpower the fruit. Long, persistent and intense finish.

Winemaking: The summer was hot, but in our vineyard in Estremoz, temperature variations were low, a typical characteristic of this region. This guarantees longer maturation periods and grapes develop with an great balance between alcohol and acidity. If we add further details such as the proximity of the winery to the vineyards, the gentle pressings, low temperature fermentation and aging in French oak barrels, we make the most of this single variety, which is in itself a great variety.
